Vanity Fair HIVE
Vanity Fair HIVE is a news website that covers politics, business, and technology.
I led the site design for a landing page, player’s page, article page, and account page templates. Even though the timeline was very tight, we launched the site on schedule. The site got 3.2 million page views in the first month, and our team received Condé Nast 2016 Second Quarter Creativity Award.
Team: Product manager, Product designers, Developers
(My role: Art direction, UX/UI design)
Based on the MVP scope outline, I created simple UX maps to understand the user flow.
Right side: Account page UX flow.
Wireframe / sketch
I sketched out all template layouts based on the requirements and listed out the contents and ad placements.
Design and QA
After defining the site look and feel, I created design templates in 2 weeks.
At the QA stage, I worked closely with front-end developers to refine the styling such as spacings and image renditions.
